Lay it down, lay it down...

*...Just got out of Brown Dog Studios (see brown dog below), recording music with the amazing Mackenzie Georgia Brown  (aka Mackenzie Brown-Kambeitz), with Rick Sward manning the controls and pushing the buttons. What a great setup Rick has going on. We did an unplugged version of one of her songs called Chains and then did a song I wrote. This song is just my guitar in cool, open tuning playing a nice chord progression and just her voice sounding so angelic. This one is gonna blow you all away when you hear it. Gonna release an Unplugged version then add a full band and really give it the slick production treatment. It has amazing harmonies and some really heartfelt lyrics. Thanks to MacKenzie for getting behind something I wrote and Rick for letting us make music there. It's humbling as heck to record cause it always leaves me walking away going "I suck at guitar", which just makes me wanna practice more. But hearing that song I wrote on my Breedlove guitar, in Shanghai, on Christmas eve, in the penthouse suite of the Kerry Park hotel after a gig, and feeling really homesick, hearing it give me chills and goosebumps, gave me the most amazing feeling. An awesome night and in the words of Boston, "feeling satisfied..."...*
