Spent some time in Haines Junction, Yukon (one of the most beautiful cities that I've ever seen in my travels). Played a mostly fun, country gig on bass for friends and soon-to-be friends on Boxing Day. The Yukon has a certain magic when it's cold. The mountains and the sky seem to sparkle, but damn it's cold. Finished a rehearsal with Soul Migration for New Years Eve and was doing my best to warm up the fingers. Had a show for Saturday night but it was cancelled due to the cold. I had a goal of playing 185 shows this year but will have to settle for 184. It's a miracle just getting to 184 cause almost all venues don't have live music or if they do it's just jam nights. Many don't pay. Cheers to the clubs that do...Be sure and get your tickets to New Years Eve. I'll be tucked away in a corner on stage but there's a few moments I get to make guitar sing...
